BASIC provides services and programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The goal of our program is to develop a behavior intervention plan that is specific to the individual client's needs. Each behavior intervention plan will be individually designed and based upon the specific functions of the client's behavior. Specific plans are designed to reduce challenging behaviors and replace then with functional skills and coping strategies. In addition to targeting the client's behaviors, BASIC also provides parents and caregivers with the necessary tools, training, and strategies to manage these behaviors.
Some of the specific areas our program targets:
- Functional Communication Training
- Coping Skills
- Independent living Skills
- Hygiene Skills
- Toileting
- Social Skills
- Challenging behaviors
