Social Skills

Children, adolescents and young adults with Autism and related disorders can experience frustration and isolation as they transition from childhood to young adulthood. We are thrilled to offer the opportunity for your child to participate in a special afterschool group at Beacon Day School. This group will empower your students in a comfortable and supportive environment of peers by developing social skills through proven methods across contexts. This program is overseen by licensed BCABA’s and supervised by licensed BCBA-D’s and PhD’s. It works by breaking down social skills into component steps and targets social learning through measurable goals aimed at engaging, sustaining, initiating, understanding and reciprocating social interactions. Most importantly, we focus on these goals through building friendships and having fun!

Groups & Pricing

Each social skills training program will be held for a period of 10 weeks. The times that the social skills groups will take place will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00-5:00 pm.

Please contact socialskills@basicaba.com for pricing and to check for insurance eligibility and grant opportunities.
